Erica O. - Granada Hills Senior Care Companion

Hi,

My name is Erica Olmedo. I am 19 years old, I will be 20 on Oct 31st. I live in Granada Hills Ca. I am a student at Mission College. I am currently working at Albertsons market, but I would be more than happy to leave that job if it means I get to take care of either children or seniors.

I use to take care of my grandfather who has demensia. i would stay home with him and make sure he ate decent meals thoughout the day, I made sure he took all his meds on time, I would keep him busy by reading to him, painting with him, going for walks with him, watching a movie with him, I would even sit there with him at times listening to him and all the stories he would tell. That was the best part of the day.

Seniors are wise and know more about anything than anyone else does and thats with or without dimentia or any other kind of illness that a senior would have.

If you ask a question they have an answer and its always interesting. I would love to learn more about seniors aand work more with them. At the end up the day I feel good knowing that I helped them out but I feel better if they had a good day keeping busy and smiling, it keeps them healthy and around longer.
